Shipping policy

Made to order production

All Barilliant chocolate bars are made fresh to order, with many designs personalised specifically for each customer.

Crafted to order. Production begins once your artwork is approved. Please allow 2–3 business days for production, plus shipping time.

During peak periods such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and major sale events, production timeframes may be extended.

We recommend ordering early during peak gifting seasons to avoid disappointment.


Shipping within Australia

We ship orders using Australia Post, with delivery options and pricing displayed at checkout.

Estimated Australia Post delivery times (after dispatch) are as follows:

Standard shipping: approximately 1–3 business days

Express shipping: approximately 1-2 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on location, weather conditions, and carrier delays.

Delivery generally occurs Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.


Dispatch days

To minimise the risk of heat exposure and parcels being held over weekends, orders are typically dispatched Monday to Wednesday.

During cooler months or peak periods, we may dispatch on additional days at our discretion.

We reserve the right to delay dispatch if weather conditions are not suitable for chocolate delivery.


Warm weather and chocolate care

Chocolate is sensitive to heat, and external conditions during transit are outside our control. While we take great care in packaging, we cannot guarantee product condition once a parcel is with Australia Post.

In periods of extreme heat, we may:

Contact you to discuss the best delivery option

If your order arrives with heat-related damage, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photographs so we can assess the issue.

Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis in line with our returns and replacement policy.


Order tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with Australia Post tracking details. Tracking updates are provided directly by the carrier.


Gift messages

You may include a gift message at checkout. Please ensure your message includes your name if you would like the recipient to know who the gift is from.

Invoices or receipts showing pricing are not included in gift orders.


Delivery details and responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipping details are accurate and complete at checkout, including:

Full street address

Business or venue name (if applicable)

Unit, suite, or apartment numbers

Recipient availability

Barilliant is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address information or where the recipient is unavailable.

Orders that are returned, redirected, or delayed due to address errors may incur additional shipping charges. Extended transit times caused by redirection may affect product quality.


PO boxes and special addresses

Delivery to PO boxes may be limited depending on Australia Post service availability. Please ensure your selected shipping option supports your delivery address.


Event and venue deliveries

For deliveries to venues, hotels, or event locations, please ensure the venue is aware of the delivery and able to accept the parcel.

Where requested, we are happy to coordinate delivery with your event coordinator or venue contact at approved venues.


International shipping

At this time, Barilliant primarily ships within Australia. If international shipping is available, delivery timeframes, duties, taxes, and customs delays are the responsibility of the recipient.
